Ears
Protruding
ears frequently cause psychological problems in
young children. To correct this deformity, incisions
are made near the back of the ear so they are not
seen. Portions of cartilage are removed and the
remainder is remolded to achieve the desired contour.
Risks
are unusual, but since both ears are rarely alike,
perfect symmetry is not always possible. Infection
and bleeding are unusual with this procedure.
